Economic Impact of Sequestration for Rural Hospitals

Rural hospitals face major financial challenges given their relatively small operating scale and workforce shortages. Under a proposed 2% Medicare reimbursement reduction resulting from sequestration, these challenges will be exacerbated. At the February 2013 National Rural Health Association (NRHA) Policy Institute conference in Washington DC, ^TM iVantage Health Analytics developed and presented the definitive economic impact study for the rural hospital industry.
