OPENING: DATA ARCHITECT

We’re seeking a hands-on Data Architect who will be tasked with designing, implementing, and managing iVantage’s integrated, longitudinal, multidimensional healthcare data repository. You will define how data is loaded, transformed, stored, integrated, managed, and consumed, while also providing strategic guidance for dependent applications and customers accessing or processing these data. • You will provide data governance best practices and data strategy across the firm
• You will define and help enforce security policy to meet HIPAA, business associate agreements, data use agreements, and other security related agreements that iVantage is party to
• You will define scalability options for ‘big data’ solutions
• You will architect and manage the iVantage Integrated data warehouse
• You will articulate data science and machine learning aspects of data management
• You will enable and support Business Intelligence solutions
• You will specify the iVantage strategy to embrace the cloud for scalability and speed
• You will collaborate with multiple internal Agile technical and product teams

Who You Are

• You have data modeling and database administration experience
• You have business modelling and mapping experience
• You have data ingress (ETL) and integration experience
• You have expertise with SQL/T-SQL and related performance tuning
• You have expertise with the Microsoft stack, including SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, & Azure
• You are familiar with Hadoop, Spark, Hive and related tooling
• You have data warehousing, marts, cubes, and OLAP, and related BI solutions experience
• You have expertise with migrating and integrating legacy databases
• You have expertise with database tuning, scalability, and replication
• You are comfortable working in fast paced cross-company environment, with frequent customer and business interactions
• You have experience and expertise with healthcare data and the healthcare industry
• You have exposure to HIPAA and an understanding of the HIPAA related security needs that are necessary to keep front and center
• You are a great team member! We value strong communication skills and the ability to work in a closely-knit team setting
• BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related field; Master’s degree preferred
